  3. Emailgate is two programs that will translate email from the uupc <-> Tabby Generic file formats.  Emailgate is Tabby launch.next aware and can be used in your Tabby events.

  5. 1) Make a mailbox for a user with the name UUCP.
  6.  
  7. 2) Setup on your Export program  for Mail Forwarding from the UUCP mailbox, use a  Fidonet node to forward to. Emailgate will remove uucps mail from the Generic Export file.

  9. 3) Put Emailgate.IN just before your Import program in the Tabby event and put Emailgate.OUT just before your Export program in the Tabby event. 
  10. (The program names can be changed)

  12. 4) Change the Emailgate.cfg file with your own information (Emailgate.cfg have to be in the same folder as the Emailgate programs).

  14. 5) Export ALL users from TeleFinders User Manager. Run ”Emailgate Userfixer” on them it will make a new file with the name of Emailgate Users put this file in the same folder as the rest of the Emailgate program.
  15. Emailgate Users is a comma separated file with the flowing format:

  36. Line 1: path to where Emailgate.out are.
  37. Line 2: path the UUPCs spool folder.
  38. Line 3: path the UUPCs mail folder.
  39. Line 4: your nodename.
  40. Line 5: your domain.
  41. Line 6: your hosts name.
  42. Line 7: your timezone.
  43. Line 8: path to the Tabby Generic file.
  44. Line 9:1st line of the message after the header. (it’s line 11 when you use Chris Silverbergs Export/Import programs for TeleFinder)
  45. Line 10:Max size on on a message (then it will be splitt in part #1, #2 etc.)
  46. Line 11:This is the ”net” your on (it’s the 2:nd word in a received email)
  47. Line 12:This is the filename on the file that has all exceptions on user names on received UUCP mail like mail received to UUCP is sent to SYSOP etc.
